Oh mate, the breakfast basket was a total gem-fresh fruits and delicious treats right at your door! And don't get me started on the quirky decor. It was such a joy to wander around and soak it all in. Plus, sharing a laugh with Melissa, the wonderful host.
Now, while there wasn't a private car park, you could pop over to the one opposite. As for the road noise, we're used to the peaceful countryside, so it was a bit of a change, but it didn't take away from the charm of the place.

The breakfast was delicious with plenty of dishes to choose from. Welcoming and decent stuff that assisted during our wonderful stay. It had very central location close to Plas Mawr.
Nothing to dislike.

The hotel was fairly clean, it's a quirky place to stay. Our rooms were spacious and fancy and had coffee/tea making equipment, a dining area and a seating area. The breakfast was lovely in the garden. The venue was set in the very central position right by a two minute walk from the car park which was very cheap for a 24 hour stay and train station.

The reasons I'm conflicted
The breakfast basket was good, filled with fresh fruits and delicious treats. The vibrant decor and unique touches throughout.
Though the comfort was great, the noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable at times.

This place is just too adorable! Stayed for 1 night in the standard king room and loved the quirky decor. Breakfast basket was fab with so many tasty options, it was way better than a full english. Melissa is such a warm and friendly host. Loved hearing the church bells, they were charming and didn't bother us at all!
The check-out time could've been later, we didn't want to leave so soon. The noise from next door was sometimes a bit much.

A Quirky Getaway with a Really good breakfast
The room was filled with retro decor that took me back to my childhood, and the views of the nearby castle from my window were fine. Melissa's breakfast basket was a highlight, with tasty local goodies, made mornings special. Just a heads up, the church clock does chime quite often at night, but it adds to the character of the place!

The quirky retro decor was a real standout, bringing a fun vibe that's hard to find elsewhere. The breakfast basket was packed with fresh goodies like artisan breads and even smoked salmon.
The main light in the room could use some extra brightness, it was a bit dim for my taste. There were intermittent flashes from an unknown source behind the TV, which could be distracting, and you might find the clock tower chiming throughout the night a tad annoying if you're a light sleeper. Parking is a bit of a trek, requiring a five-minute walk from the nearest long-stay car park.

We had the most delightful stay! The quirky decor kept surprising us everywhere, and the breakfast in a basket was such a treat—so refreshing compared to the usual! My only wish was for a later check-out to enjoy it all a bit longer.
